Principal investor · Asset manager

Our capital stands beside our judgement.

Contim invests across listed equities and income-producing real estate on its own balance sheet, then applies the same research, execution and ownership discipline to corporate client mandates.

The Contim difference

Principal and manager. One standard of care.

Every approach used for a client mandate must be one we are prepared to apply to our own capital, and every asset considered for a portfolio must be one we would be willing to own ourselves.

This dual position shapes how we research, decide and report. Listed shares provide liquidity, transparent pricing and dividend potential. Property can provide contracted rental income and a slower-moving capital profile. Held together deliberately, the differences between them become a source of resilience rather than a complication.

  • Proprietary investment: our own equities and property.
  • Asset management: structured corporate mandates.
  • Real estate operations: acquisition through tenanting, collection and maintenance.

Ownership changes the question. Not “can we sell it?” but “would we own it?”
What we do

Two asset classes. One accountable team.

Our research, execution and reporting capability serves equities, property and mandates together, so allocation between asset classes is an active decision rather than an accident of separate advisers.

How the assets work together

Liquidity meets contracted income.

Equities and property behave differently. That difference is the point: a portfolio can use liquidity on one side and durable cash generation on the other, then rebalance to a stated policy.

EQ

Stocks & listed equities

  • Liquid and generally sellable in days
  • Daily pricing and portfolio visibility
  • Dividend income with variable outcomes
  • Higher short-term volatility
RE

Real estate

  • Illiquid and slower to exit
  • Valued periodically, not continuously
  • Contracted rent with tenant dependence
  • Longer capital movement cycles
“Rental income can fund equity purchases when markets are weak, while share sales can fund a property deposit when the right building appears.”
Investment discipline

Clear reasons to buy. Clear reasons to sell.

Activity is not a substitute for judgement. Contim acts when evidence supports a decision, records why, and keeps allocation within an agreed framework.
